so i'm wondering if any of you have a favorite manga (typical question, i know) and would you recommend the mangas to any of us, fellow forum members.
i like kanata kara for shoujo, and i'd recommend this to any avid shoujo reader who loves hikawa kyouko's works. the development of the story and the love between izaku and noriko... kyaann!!! it seems so pure. i'm over 20 but i still love to read it even now. has been my favorite back in high school, and even now. would recommend miriam as well cause miriam is so cute and mischievous. 
i also like bara no tameni by yoshimura akemi. i think this falls under josei category. the development is pretty deep and the problems are a bit tragic, but the ending, even though is kind of expected, but it seems right cause they finally found 'peace' (not through death).
i have plenty more, but want to know from you (guys and girls) first.  |

um... my favorite would be full moon wo sagashite. the story and art is amazing but sad :[ been re-read over and over and i'm still not even tired of it yet as for other i stop reading after few times. another series also my favorite is doraemon i'm sure many people read this series before. somehow i read doraemon a lot of times but i cant seem to remember the end..... does doraemon have an actual ending???? |

mine is.... hikaru no go and its such a pity that the new generations dun read it! it was a classic... and always will be like pokemon or sailor moon. it's shounen tho haha but truely spectacular in many ways. it a coming-to-age sort of manga and u can really tell the difference in art from youth to old, and of course it's all thanks to takeshi obata (death notes) he is immaculate in details, down to even the shoes and shoe laces were impeccable! im not just boasting, it really brings lots of memory. and it's very thought provoking as well, it's hilarious yet mature and touching, i really recommend peeps to pickk it up though 23 vol is long it really is worth while, dun just disregard it becuz of it's aged!!! |

For me
I read a lot of manga but i like FMA the most. Arakawa Sensei's plot is AWESOME!!
And the ending is beautiful  |

My favorite was Ouran High School Host Club. I really liked it because it was so light-hearted and funny. I still take time to reread it once in a while |

Hm...read quite a lot of things over the years..
Shounen: Katekyo Hitman Reborn - just because there's soooo many characters that you're bound to find someone you like it in XDXD hibariiiiii <3 - also the latest arc is bringing everything together again YESSS XDXD
Misc: Mirai Nikki and ALIVE - two relatively-recent manga I've read - both feature a bit of battle-royale aspects which makes it interesting |

Skip Beat! The story is just amazing and so hilarious and I just loooove Kyoko's interactions with the other characters! Every new chapter just brightens up my day. |

I read so much manga that I have so many favourites really but some I can mention are kanata kara, Anatolia Story/Red River, Legend of Basara, Vampire Knight, Saver, Fushgi Yuugi, Kaikan Phrase. |

this is very tricky for me. There are so many that I like for different reasons. I agree with Debs that Red River is right up there. Also Skip Beat (which is still ongoing and great), 100% Perfect Girl and Noblesse which is an ongoing web comic read by pretty much a 50/50 split of male/females. It has fights for the guys, bishies for the girls and a great plot with humor and fun characters. Just try a few chapters and see...Plus they release every week and the scanlation is done within hours. |

My favorite kind of manga is got to be historical romance. I'm not so big with dramas, but I guess drama is also one along with gender bender, action, adventure, smut, shoujo, shounen, josei, haerm, fantasy, and supernatural. |

I have many that I like. They mostly are romance manga that are supernatural, fantasy, adventure, action and gender bender. I would have to say that my favourite would be Immortal rain. |

My favourite is Nakaji Yuki's Venus wa Kataomoi! It's so lovely, cheerful and laid-back, and I don't think I've ever read another manga with a cast ensemble that I liked so much.
One that I read recently and really liked is Ten no Ryuu, Chi no Sakura. Beautiful story, really atmospheric and reminded me of Chinese mythology. I guess I like mainly shoujo with a peaceful, understated feel? Low on drama or angst, and bonus points if it has historical or fantasy elements. |

Currently, my favorite manga is 7Seeds. I have been obsessing over it for the past three months and can't seem to get over it. The cast is simply wonderful and I highly recommend it to anyone that isn't afraid of survival in a post-apocalyptic setting. It's still pretty Josei, though.
My favorite classic would be Rurouni Kenshin. I loved the storytelling and the historical setting. |

Woahhhh... for sure, kanata kara has many fans..
I like it too.... It's a great shoujo. I can't get tired read it again and again.. Even now, I still want to read it again.
Another manga which I choose as my fav is
- Mars, it's a great manga. At first, when I saw the cover, this manga was not my liking. But then, I decide to read it and I'm addicted!! familly, love, friends, and the life... It's not typical manga I've read.
- Kuroshitsuji. Ok, it's shounen which has great art and slightly shounen ai. But the plot is great too..
- Ghost hunt, I still don't dare to read it again. It's not because I'm afraid of ghost story, but because it's a tragedy story... Last and first time I read it, it makes me sad, depressed. So, from that time, I decide to not read tragedy manga anymore.. 
- Love so life, I love it.. It's so cute. Definitely a shoujo with cute twins
